1) Tincture Mouthwash
This tincture must contain myrrh tincture, calendula and goldenseal. They fight different symptoms; goldenseal is astringent and antimicrobial, myrrh tincture combats tooth and gum inflammation while strengthening the gums and calendula prevents gum inflammation.
- 1 4oz glass bottle
- Funnel (optional)
- 1/2 cup distilled water
- 2 TBLS vodka
- 1 dropperful of calendula tincture/herbal oil
- 1 dropperful of goldenseal tincture/herbal oil
- 0.5 dropperful of myrrh tincture/herbal oil
- 1 to 2 drops peppermint essential oil
Calendula, goldenseal and myrrh tincture for the mixture are not essential oils, use the herbal oil. Place all the ingredients in a 4 oz glass bottle and shake well. Dilute 3 tablespoons of rinse in 1/2 ounce of water and make sure you use this mouthwash twice per day, in the morning and in the evening.
2) Home made Peppermint Mouthwash

- 1/2 cup distilled water
- 3 drops of peppermint oil

- 1/2 cup aloe Vera juice
- 1/4 cup distilled water
- 1/2 tbsp. witch hazel
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
Take all the ingredients, mix them in a bowl with a whisk. Pour the content into a bottle and shake well before storing it in a cool and dark place for two weeks. Wash your mouth with it every morning and evening for quick effects.
